I was delighted to be a part of the Faanoos event, a part of the Global Encounters Festival 2025, a celebration organized by the Ismaili community to symbolize light, unity, and hope across borders.
The Faanoos (lantern) represents light, unity, and hope, and its journey across countries culminates in Dubai.
It will be featured during the Opening Ceremony on July 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, alongside performances by artists and athletes from over 30 countries!! The event celebrates the diversity and strength of the global Ismaili community, with cultural showcases, service projects, and youth engagement at its heart. ❤️
Two athletes from #KitchenerCentre were sent to Dubai to compete in the sports and fitness challenges.
