High-ranking official from the African country of Angola, who's currently posted here in Canada, made a visit to Waterloo Region's tech sector today. Now, the nation is described as one of Canada's more modest trading partners, but the two countries have been talking more lately. CTV's Karras Mapp has the latest local example of the federal government's plan to try to expand trade ties. We have Canada, our partner, our friend countries, so we work to reinforce our bilateral cooperation. Building relationships while seeing what Waterloo Region's tech sector has to offer, and Golan Consul General Mateus Barros-José toured Communitech Monday morning to see what could be for his home country. We know kitchen as a big hub. They're doing well in high technology, innovation, factory, so Angola is a visit to identify.
