We had the Shadow Minister of Housing in town, and the conversations were truly energizing! We walked through the BuildNow project and the strong partnerships driving it forward, with both the @cityofkitchener, the @citywaterloo, @habitat_wr, local developers, and our non‑profit housing partners. Together, we’re tackling the affordability crisis head‑on by creating a community where deeply affordable, affordable, and for‑sale units are all built side by side. We also met with Mayor @berryonline to discuss the impressive work the City of Kitchener is doing to accelerate homebuilding, from streamlining approvals to reducing development charges, ensuring that more homes get built, faster, right here in our community. @scottaitchison left genuinely impressed by the progress we’re making in Kitchener, and he’s committed to championing strong, practical solutions to get more homes built across the country. #kitchener #affordable #housing

together over a warm meal. Over the past five years, Tiny Home Takeout has prepared more than 695,000 meals, reaching approximately 350,000 people, all made possible by an amazing network of over 200 volunteers. Spending time with the volunteers, staff, and supporters reminded me just how special this place is. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who makes this work possible and proud to have an organization like Tiny Home Takeout right here in our community.
