Great to tour a local STEM camp and see young people getting hands-on experience with science, technology, engineering and math. Kitchener Centre is home to incredible talent, and investing in the next generation of innovators starts right here in our community.

Enough is enough. Drug traffickers are fueling the addiction crisis and putting lives at risk in Kitchener and across Canada. We need tougher penalties for those who profit from trafficking and a justice system that puts victims, families and our communities first.

Great to visit Communitech with Pierre Poilievre and hear directly from our tech & innovation community. Kitchener-Waterloo is Canada’s innovation capital, home to world-class talent and businesses. We need to create the conditions for them to grow, innovate & succeed at home.

Thank you to @PierrePoilievre for joining us in Kitchener to talk about real solutions to addiction and homelessness. We need to address the root causes, get people the help they need, and ensure our communities are safe. It’s time for action, not more encampments.

We have to put victims first. It is not acceptable for a high-risk sex offender to be released, only to be re-arrested less than an hour later. We need a justice system that protects victims, keeps dangerous offenders off the streets, and puts public safety first.

A truly accessible home can mean the difference between independence and being forced to rely on others. We need more barrier-free homes designed with accessibility in mind from the start, so people with disabilities can live safely, independently, and with dignity.

Youth homelessness is rarely the starting point. Mental health, addiction and family breakdown can push young people into crisis. That’s why upstream funding matters: investing in prevention and early supports helps keep young people from becoming homeless in the first place.

This week’s Business Spotlight is The Guitar Corner! A true Kitchener institution, it’s been around so long that locals use it as a landmark. Even better, the owners’ daughter grew up in the store, making it a family business through and through.

Join Hospice of Waterloo Region and help support the compassionate care Hospice Waterloo Region provides to local families. Walk in memory of a loved one, with friends and family, or simply to support a great cause. Every step makes a difference.
