Kelly DeRidder on Community events and local organizations

Kelly DeRidder is out in Kitchener Centre all year long, meeting neighbours and visiting the groups that make this community strong. This page brings together her recent posts about local events and organizations.

Kelly has joined cultural celebrations such as Filipino Canadian Community Day, Sikh Community Day, the Arab Festival in Carl Zehr Square, Pakistan Canada Day, Afrofest and the Far East Asian Night Market with the Kitchener BIA. She has also been at the Kitchener Blues Festival, the Paddle Palooza Pickleball Festival and the Canadian Muay Thai Open, and she wore orange with the Kitchener Panthers for Orange Jersey Day.

She has also met with groups that help people close to home. These include Vision Loss Rehab, Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health, NIROW, the YMCA of Three Rivers and Safe Families Kitchener-Waterloo & Cambridge. She toured a local STEM camp and Ivis Inc., and visited Communitech. She also shined a light on local businesses like Charcoal Steak House, The Guitar Corner and 271 West Restaurant.

Over the past five years, Tiny Home Takeout has prepared more than 695,000 meals, reaching approximately 350,000 people, all made possible by an amazing network of over 200 volunteers. Spending time with the volunteers, staff, and supporters reminded me just how special this place is.
