Kelly DeRidder in Toronto

This page follows Kelly DeRidder's work for Kitchener Centre as it reaches beyond the riding. It covers better transit links, national attention for local talent, and support for local technology. The posts below are listed newest first.

Most recently, Kelly spoke up for Kitchener's innovators. She pointed to Miovision, a Kitchener Centre company building AI-driven traffic technology that helps make intersections safer and more efficient. Kelly says major projects should not overlook solutions that already exist here in Kitchener. She notes that the United States is focused on buying American, and she says Canada should be just as intentional about choosing Canadian innovation.

Kelly also cheered on the Ventures Winter Guards, who sang O Canada at the opening game of the World Series. She also shared good news on transit. One of her first acts as MP was writing to the Minister about the urgent need for more GO Train service in Kitchener. Weekend service is set to launch this November, and work to twin the rail lines is underway. That means two-way, all-day GO service is coming soon.
