It was great visiting Reception House Waterloo Region in Kitchener this past summer to tour their facilities and meet with staff who are dedicated to helping newcomers build independent lives in Canada. Their message was clear: strong employment pathways and faster recognition of international credentials are key to helping refugees and newcomers succeed. That’s why Conservatives are pushing for the Blue Seal program to better recognize foreign training and get skilled newcomers into the workforce faster, strengthening our local economy, services and our community.
