What an inspiration! Watching this martial arts team train to represent Canada in Costa Rica was incredible. They leave today, so let’s all wish them the very best as they compete on the world stage. I’m so proud of the hard work and determination that brought each and every competitor to this moment. A special thank you to Shamuon Generation of Martial Arts for everything you do for our community, raising children with discipline, self-respect, and amazing talent. Go Team Canada! 🇨🇦

What a year, and what a community. Being your member of parliament I feel the energy of a place that refuses to give up on each other. A place that shows up, again and again, with courage, compassion, and that unmistakable Kitchener fire. You trusted me to carry your voice to Ot… Read more

tawa, and I want you to know: I carry it with pride, with purpose, and with a determination that only grows stronger. This year, I’ve seen the best of who we are. I’ve met people rebuilding their lives with grit that could move mountains. I’ve met families fighting for their loved ones with a love that refuses to quit. I’ve met innovators, dreamers, and everyday heroes who remind me that our community isn’t just part of Canada’s future, we’re shaping it. And let me be clear: I’m not here to sit quietly in the back row. I’m here to push. To advocate. To make sure our community is seen, heard, and respected as the innovation capital of this country. I’m here to fight for real supports for people struggling with addiction and mental health challenges, because every single person deserves a chance to come home happy, healthy and drug free. We are not a community that waits for change. We make it. We build it. We demand it. And we do it together. So as we step into a new year, I want you to know this: I believe in you. I believe in us. And I believe in what we can accomplish when we stand shoulder to shoulder, refusing to leave anyone behind. Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your strength. Thank you for reminding me every day why this work matters. Now let’s take this momentum into the new year, and let’s show Canada exactly what this community can do.

I had the privilege of attending the See Me Hear Me Conference hosted by Cambridge Mayor Jan Liggett, a powerful and eye-opening event that brought together voices from across our region to talk about the urgent need for change in how we approach rehabilitation. The stories shar… Read more

ed were raw and real, highlighting the gaps in our systems that too often fail to support people in rebuilding their lives. This wasn’t about enabling, it was about accountability, healing, and ensuring that rehabilitation is more than a word. It’s about action, outcomes, and support that truly helps people move forward. I’m committed to carrying these conversations into my work in Parliament. We need policies that prioritize effective rehabilitation, protect communities, and give people the tools they need to change their lives for the better. Thank you to Mayor Liggett and all the courageous voices who made this conference so impactful. Your leadership is helping drive the change we need.
